Tour Plan

On your arrival at airport, welcome by the Staff Member. You will be traveling to Kandy the central capital of Sri Lanka. You will be passing through pictures green environment and you will enjoy the eye catching sceneries on your way to Kandy. You will be checked in relevant hotels. In the evening you will be participating for sightseeing and shopping tour in the city. Kandy is very famous for Gems, Batik, Handy Craft and silk cloths. Late in the evening, you will be going to see the Temple of tooth relic and cultural dancing performances. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast visit the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. You can witness the bathing and bottle feeding of the babyelephants. A herd of about 60 elephants roam free in the Pinnewela Elephant Orphanage. This was established asa sanctuary covering 25 acres of lush forest by the Sri Lankan Government in 1975, is unique. Its purpose is tofeed, nurse and house young elephants lost or abandoned by their mothers. Recently the sanctuary has also started abreeding programme. Visitors are invited to observe and assist the baby elephants as they are fed from giant feedingbottles, before the pachyderms plod down to the river for their daily bath. In the evening you will be visiting the royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya which has a long and proud history, punctuated by colonialism, and industrial change. All the way through this period the garden has continued to boom, and the plant collections and herbarium grown. The National Botanic Gardens are uniquely placed to instruct by covertness, taking advantage of the pleasure and joy, and expertise in protection, biodiversity, floriculture and sustainability. You will be staying in Kandy at the same hotel for this night.

After breakfast you will be leaving for Nuwara Eliya via Ramboda Falls. You will be eye-witnessing a tea factory/plantation and some beautiful waterfalls.

Nuwara Eliya is famous as the Little England due to it is almost seems like a place in England. There are Tudor-style and Victorian homes look across the blue lake. The Post Office, the English country house like Hill Club with its hunting pictures, mounted hunting trophies and fish, Anglican Church and private residence are the other architectural monuments to the English. The Golf course in Nuwara eliya is one of the best in Asia.

Dinner and overnight hotel.

After breakfast you will be traveling to Nanu Oya railway station for a short train journey toBandarawela. Check in the hotel and sightseeing tour in the evening .If it is a weekend you willbe visiting to see the Adisham Bungalow in Haputale or Liptons seat in Haputhale.

 

Bandarawela is an unhurried, unpretentious hill-country town which exists to supply the needsof the tea plantation workers, Another distinctive feature of Bandarawela is the colonial flavorstill preserved in the many old buildings such as the Bandarawela Hotel and the old Cargill’s Supermarket.

Adhishmam Bungalow - This is an old Benedictine monastery built in the form of a smallcastle. You may be able to buy fresh fruit jams/preserves and juices prepared by the monks fromfruit grown in their garden

Liptons Seat - Lipton’s Seat is one of the highest points in Sri Lanka. You can supposedly see60% of the island, down to the sea. This is where the planter Lipton (of Lipton’s Tea) used to sitand it makes the area an ideal mythical home for Ravana.Dinner and overnight hotel accommodation.

Breakfast at the hotel. Later, check out on time and proceed to Negombo a hotel close to the Airport. En route, enjoy a comfort stop at Kitulgala

Kitulgala - the location where the film location of David Lean’s Oscar winning masterpiece “The Bridge on the River Kwai” was filmed. Check in and relax at the hotel Dinner and overnight hotel accommodation.

After the breakfast you will be leaving to the air port based on your return schedule.
